Training Days 2 & 3

On Friday, May 3rd, we walked a lot!  We went to the Columbus Zoo for our 6th wedding anniversary and we walked for 4 ½ hours straight.  It was not a steady 3 ½ mph walk, but we were on our feet for the majority of the 4 ½ hours at the zoo.  Because of this, I am considering this a training day.  Our muscles ached for two days straight afterwards, so I know they are getting stronger!

On Tuesday, May 7th, hubby and I rode our bikes approximately 2 miles (possibly 3) to the local store to pick up Mother’s Day cards.  I know this is not much, but we are trying to get our muscles ready to start going longer distances.  Todd got a new seat cushion for his bike which has made his riding experience much more pleasant.  I purchased an odometer so that we are able to track our mileage much more accurately.
